D & D Performance Horses provides Horseback Riding Lessons from beginner, to intermediate, or advanced riders who need either new instruction or refinement of their riding abilities. Lessons available under own horse or a horse provided from D & D Performance Horses. We also provide Basic Horsemanship on the ground as well as on a horse. Basic horse knowledge is taught to insure safety and to improve the relationship between horse and rider. Lessons can also be structured to match the client's desired interests to include Pleasure Riding, Trail Riding, Barrel Racing, Gymkhana Events. Please contact us if lessons are needed at another location for pricing and availability.
Frequency of lessons is very important. Beginning students, particularly if young and/or having no access to a horse on which to practice between lessons, tend to benefit more from 2 or more weekly lessons over an extended period of time. Riding properly requires both learning the skills and developing the physical strength necessary to perform these skills effectively. Progressive learning can only take place when students have lessons frequently enough so as not to forget what they have already been taught. Students riding at a more advanced level, however, may only need weekly lessons with an instructor to help keep their skills sharp.
